Anti-Christ Agenda Revisted

| |

Back in November of 2005 (which was the only post for that month), I posted here on The Truth Manifesto. The name of that post was The Anti-Christ Agenda Is In Effect. In short, I point out how liberalism, as a philosophy and the tenets and beliefs it holds to, are anti-Christ. Well, almost three years later, people are still in a tizzy over that post.

I've decided to let you in on a very telling comment I recently received on that post and the response I gave. I think that it lays out the typical reaction of someone who lets their emotions talk before thinking. This is in typical liberal fashion. All emotion, no substance.

Face it, you're a bigot, and you use the bible to justify your hate.

Abortion, homosexuality, teen pregnancy, drug use, pornography, divorce, God-haters are a modern problem? ALL of these have been occurring for the last thousand years. So what makes this time special? Seriously, do you think all the things going on today did not happen in the past?

Of course not. Because you need to feel special. You need to feel morally superior. And you need your religion/beliefs to give you that.

Face it. This is not the end of days. The world is not going to s***. And your "morals" will lead us to a world filled with hate. I don't think that Christ was about hate.

So go ahead, simplify your existence by lumping all liberals in as god-hating sinners. I know it will make you feel better, stroke your ego a little, and simplifies the world down to a simple concept your small, closed minded brain can understand.

Face it, you're a dying breed. Every day people are more and more tolerant of those different than themselves. It's only a matter of time before closed-minded, self-righteous bigots like yourselves are all dead. And the world will be a better place.

Remember...you're supposed to love thy neighbor, and not judge them.

My response to this was like so:

Thanks for your response. I think I need to warn you ahead of time....this is gonna sting a little.

I find it ironic and rather humorous that the same people who are upset about this post show the utmost respect and "tolerance" for the things that I write and present it in a reasonable, loving, and caring approach instead of getting personal, calling names, and generally spitting vitriol because they disagree with what I write.

Yes. That's me being facetious.

The fact of the matter is that you comment on something that you know little to nothing about which is pretty apparent in your post. Let me make just a couple things clear for you:

1. It's probably a good idea not to tell me to love my neighbor when you can't do it yourself. It shows hypocrisy and that you are simply using something you (obviously) don't believe in just to prove your point which is disingenuous at best.

2. I didn't say all liberals hated God. Read. What was said was that liberalism, the philosophy and tenets it adheres to, is anti-Christ. I also said that you can't adhere to those same philosophies and call yourself a Christian. Well....I'm still saying it again because you can't.

3. You apparently have no idea what tolerant means so let me give you the Webster's definition:

tolerate - to endure, put up with; to bear, to allow to be or to be done without prohibition, hindrance, or contradiction

No where in there do I see I must accept or embrace someone's belief, worldview, behavior, or attitude, especially as it's mentioned in the Bible. Even then that doesn't mean I hate them. It means I hate what
they do. As Thomas Mann once said, tolerance becomes a crime when it
comes to evil.

I personally can tolerate you disagreeing with me. Doesn't appear as if you can do the same. I believe that's the pot calling the kettle black.

So, I'll end this by saying the same thing I said to the last person who responded in like manner:

If your response had been well thought out, researched, and lucid, then this could have turned out quite differently. But since you want to resort to name calling and all those little infantile things that immature people do, I'll have to sadly chalk this up as another Christian hater who doesn't have the self-control to get their point across with tact.

Too bad really. But expected.

I want you to notice something. This guy hates me and wants me dead and everyone who believes like me. And in the next breath he talks about loving your neighbor. Talk about an oxymoron.

However, this is to be expected. The Lord said:

If the world hateth you, ye know that it hath hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. (John 15:18,19)

Do I feel bad because he hates me? No. That's his problem. Should I tone down my posts so as not to offend anyone and they will be more accepting of what I have to say? No. Because a good portion of what I say is quoting scripture. The Bible means what it says and says what it means. So do I.

To sum it all up: get ready for more of the Truth because I'm not going anywhere.
